Tiger Rug Co.’s Lending Library was developed so the consumer could view our unique designs and colors in their intended environment. Print page and digital images are helpful, but before purchasing such a high-value item as an oriental carpet, one must see and touch the product for themselves. The samples were designed to eliminate any chance of “surprises” when the carpet arrives. In our 18 years of importing and distributing Tibetan oriental carpets, we have not had a return, which is truly remarkable. The rate of return for most click-and-mortar sites hovers around the 20% mark. This is a ridiculously high rate for which all consumers end up paying when shopping these sites. We prefer to eliminate this hidden cost for our consumers.

The hand-knotted samples are available in either a 1' x 1' color striped version, a 1' x 1' version with a snippet of design, or 1' x 18" miniature size.

The samples are sent out on a one-week loan basis. Credit card information is taken via the telephone weekdays between the hours of 9a-5p EST. No shipping charge is placed on the card if the samples are being shipped to the 48 contiguous states (AK/HI/PR shipments are available, but unfortunately, we must apply a shipping charge). This is simply a precautionary measure in the event the sample(s) do not make their way back to us. We ask that the sample(s) be shipped back to us insured.

Once a design and size selection has been made, we forward via e-mail or the postal system an image of the chosen design so the consumer can see how the design will look in a particular size. A 2' x 3' carpet design will not look the same as a 9' x 12' carpet design.
